Millwood House is an individual family-owned private day nursery which has remained in the same hands since it was established in 1991.
Our own family home was extended and skilfully adapted for nursery use. Much thought has been put into creating a 'home-from-home' ambience which is cosy and inviting whilst also being professional, stimulating, and educational.
For over 30 years Millwood House Day Nursery has been caring for children from birth to 5 years in a welcoming home-from-home environment.
Millwood House Day Nursery is a safe place for your child to grow, develop, learn, explore and play whilst having fun with a team of qualified, passionate and dedicated individuals.
The highly experienced and knowledgeable management team and nursery practitioners ensure each child reaches their full potential by specifically designing every activity in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
The large enclosed, secure garden with soft play and artificial grass allows for outdoor activities to be scheduled and enjoyed all year round, giving children maximum opportunity to be out in the fresh air.
Our in-house Chef produces nutritious home-made food, catering for each child's individual dietary requirements. The food is freshly prepared daily and the menu is regularly changed to bring variety and fun to the children's diet.

While life is often fast for us as adults, we recognise that children have their own pace, their own tastes, and their own way of learning; we nurture and encourage this in the way we play and talk with our young
children. Babies too have a very significant place with us and learn how to socialise and play through observation, emulation and contact with the other children; integration is important for all children, and we encourage socialisation.
Millwood House Day Nursery has everything to offer a child, whatever their age or stage of development. The nursery has extensive grounds with room for the children to run and laugh and breathe fresh air. It also benefits from a large secure garden with a soft play area and artificial grass for children to enjoy all year round.
With a combined service of over 50 years at Millwood House Day Nursery, our Management Team and Practitioners have a good mix of qualifications and experience. Ongoing training ensures a freshness and vitality that shows on the faces of all those who work within the Millwood House family.
