ROOM LEADER

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Room Leader at Millwood House Day Nursery. The Room Leader will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a specific room, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for the children. This includes planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, observing and assessing each child's development, and maintaining effective communication with parents and other staff members. The Room Leader will also provide guidance and support to the nursery practitioners in their room.

Qualifications
• Experience in a childcare setting
• Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Level 3 childcare qualification or higher
• First Aid certification (desirable)

An opportunity has arisen for 2 Apprentices to join our motivated and enthusiastic team at Millwood House.

We are a small private nursery with a home-from-home ambience where babies to 5 years old children have fun learning through play. Millwood House follows the EYFS 7 areas of learning and is OFSTED rated GOOD.

Our Management Team and Nursery Practitioners look forward to welcoming you into our Millwood House Team wherein most of our staff have many years service. The successful candidates will be working as part of our team to deliver outstanding care whilst providing a safe, fun and progressive learning environment for the children.
